“We’ll Always Have Paris”: PARCC Welcomes the RETIMAGER Consortium
More than eighty years ago, in one of the most famous scenes in cinema history, Humphrey Bogart looked into Ingrid Bergman’s eyes at a fog-shrouded airfield and spoke a line that would go down in history: “We’ll always have Paris” (Casablanca, 1942).
At that moment, the characters were facing an uncertain future, but the phrase was more than a nostalgic look back. It expressed the certainty that, whatever came next, they would always share something meaningful that could not be taken away.
On September 23, 2026, the Paris Cardiovascular Research Center – PARCC will be delighted to welcome the RETIMAGER consortium to Paris for its annual meeting.
Building science together
The meeting will provide an opportunity for consortium members to share their latest results, exchange ideas, discuss scientific and technological challenges, and define the next steps of the RETIMAGER project.
For one day, PARCC will become a meeting point for the expertise, data and perspectives developed across the consortium.
In a way, “our Paris” is also what RETIMAGER has already built together: the knowledge generated collectively, the data that have been structured and shared, and, above all, the scientific relationships and mutual trust that connect the consortium’s members.
Research means moving into the unknown—but never from scratch. As new scientific and technological challenges emerge, RETIMAGER can build on the strong foundation created through this collective effort.
We are proud to host our RETIMAGER colleagues at PARCC and look forward to a stimulating day of science, exchange and collaboration.
Welcome to Paris. Welcome to PARCC.
