Marie Piollet Named Lefoulon-Delalande Chair Awardee

We are extremely happy and proud to announce that Marie Piollet, a postdoctoral researcher at our center, has been awarded the prestigious Lefoulon-Delalande Adjunct Professor Chair (Chaire Lefoulon-Delalande de Professeur attaché)!

Supported by the Fondation Lefoulon-Delalande – Institut de France and Université Paris Cité, this chair of excellence serves as an exceptional springboard. It offers early-career young scientists the unique opportunity to establish and lead their own research team. Crucially, it comes with €1 million in funding over 5 years to conduct cutting-edge research projects in the cardiovascular field.

🔬 Her Project at PARCC

Titled “Control of the endothelial barrier in neutrophil programming and post-myocardial infarction cardiac fibrosis”, her work focuses closely on the role of neutrophils in cardiac repair—a major challenge for the cardiovascular medicine of tomorrow.

🎓 A Path of Excellence

Following a PhD at the Université de Tours (EA4245) and a first postdoctoral fellowship in Würzburg, Germany, focusing on atherosclerosis, Marie joined PARCC (INSERM / Université Paris Cité) in December 2024 within Clément Cochain’s team. This chair stands as a testament to the remarkable quality of her academic background and scientific vision.
