EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS ASSOCIATION
Ilaria officially represents the association as president. She supervises and coordinates all the activities of the association and collaborates with the PARCC administration for the realization of events, seminars, workshops and congresses
Tom takes care of the financial aspects of the association and he is also Vice-President of the association. He is responsible for the approval of any purchase of goods or services done by the association. He handles all that is related to the ECR annual budget.
Omar, Nicolò and Lucia organize scientific events once a month. They moderate scientific seminars, workshops and career development roundtable sessions with national and international speakers for young researchers at the PARCC.
May and Yingwei manage the communication and advertising of all association events through internal PARCC channels but also via social media on Facebook, Instagram.
Magali, Julie and Sara are in charge of all social activities of the association including afterworks, board games and movie nights. They also organize together with the PARCC administrative staff the annual Winter and Summer parties.
Clément and Théo take care of the young researcher’s physical health by organizing sports events, gym sessions and also by coordinating running, basketball, climbing, and swimming clubs.
Morgane and Fanny are working on building the PARCC alumni network to create links between former PARCC members and give current members the opportunity to contact them to discuss career opportunities. They are also organising annual meetings to facilitate these exchanges and boost the dynamism of the network.
Ikuan and Joséphine are helping to welcome all the foreign and local young researchers to the PARCC. They have drawn up a booklet containing all the information PARCC’s foreign newcomers need to make their arrival in France easier, including all administrative formalities. They are also organizing potluck dinners and meet-ups.
Bakhta and Nesrine are in charge of organising an annual congress for young researchers in collaboration with the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. They are in charge of all aspects of the organization of the congress, from selecting the venue to choosing the speakers, as well as chairing the sessions, choosing the buffet and so on.
The first ECR congress took place in December 2022 with around 80 attendees from different research institutes in Paris.
