15 Years of Action Against Sudden Cardiac Death

Over the past 15 years, public use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) during cardiac arrest has tripled, reaching 15%. This major progress reflects the collective commitment of all those involved in the chain of survival, from citizens and emergency services to healthcare professionals and researchers.

To celebrate this progress and continue raising awareness, the Paris Sudden Death Expertise Center (Centre d’Expertise de la Mort Subite de Paris) is pleased to invite you to the 15th European Cardiac Arrest Awareness Day, which will take place on:

📅 15 October 2026 at 6:30 PM
📍 Salle Colbert – 126 rue de l’Université, 75007 Paris

Hosted at the French National Assembly, this special evening will provide an opportunity to look back at 15 years of collective action against cardiac arrest, highlight the advances achieved, and discuss the challenges that remain to further improve prevention, bystander intervention and survival.

The event will bring together members of the cardiac arrest community and all those committed to strengthening the chain of survival.

Attendance is free, but registration is mandatory.

We look forward to welcoming you for this important anniversary and to continuing, together, the fight against cardiac arrest.
